God. knows. your. heart.
Every thought, hidden agenda, selfish ambition - God knows these things.
He sees past your Martha-like duties and works; he sees past your image, your reputation.
He sees through your facial expressions and looks deep into the fabric of your soul.
He sees every pain, hurt, guilt, suffering, shame, and disgrace that you have ever experienced.
Friends, let's try our best to remove our masks, remove all the clutter and just be real with him. Be raw.
There's no need to fake a smile with Jesus. There's no need to pretend like everything's okay, when its not. Stop trying to please men and especially, stop trying to trick God.
He knows your heart. Your thoughts. Your intentions.
Redeem them.
If you find it difficult to do so, ask the Holy Spirit. His work is to sanctify us, and reveal our sins to us. He helps us to be more like Jesus.
God wants nothing more than for you to honest with Him...even if it will hurt Him.
Father, I want to be real before you. You know my heart, my intentions. Holy Spirit, reveal my sin and help me to renew my thoughts and hearts so that my actions would be full of love and sincerity. Jesus, help me to become more like You.
