"I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand. Remember my chains. Grace be with you."
Colossians 4:18
---
"Remember my chains," Paul says. Not, "remember my good life," or "remember when I stumped the religious people."
Remember my hardships. Remember my imprisonment. Remember my suffering, Paul implores.
The life of a good person may be appealing, but the life of a person who comes out of hardship and perseveres is compelling.
I realize I need to not seek for the best and most comfortable outcome for my life, but I need to seek to live a life where in every situation, I can say, "God is good."
Let us also remember Christ, and His cross that He bore for us. We have a great high priest who went through it all, so that we can also wear our chains and bear witness.
