sokin's devotional 13
"and we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light."
colossians 1:11-12
---------------------------------------
what does it mean to live a life worthy of the Lord and how can we please Him?
- "bear fruit in every good work"
is your life marked by good fruit bearing? are you bearing good fruit or bad fruit? remember: a good tree can only bear good fruit. a bad tree can only bear bad fruit.
- "grow in the knowledge of God"
what new things/insights of God are you learning? are you drinking from the fountain of His truth everyday? the bible has existed for thousands of years and countless preachers, theologians have picked it apart yet the bible still remains as life giving, and life changing and inspiring with every read. have you dug deeper into these truths?
- "give thanks to the Father"
are you able to "rejoice in all circumstances?" have you thanked God recently? what did you thank Him for? how is your heart responding to Him?
questions....to consider. especially for myself.
