upside down

Then Jesus told his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
Matthew 16:14,25

Simple, overarching truth for life.

In order to gain, you have to lose.

We give allegiance to an "upside-down" kingdom. A Gospel language that allows the weak to be strong, the meek to inherit the earth, and the loss of living "for yourself" to result in the fullest life imaginable.

This isn't new-age, buddhist theology where you deny yourself everything in order to achieve peace.

This is a Savior calling out to us to give up our grip on our life and our terms, in order to live one that seeks to live for His Name so that we might find our greatest joy.
