sokin's devotional 60 - reminder
47 I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your forefathers ate the manna in the desert, yet they died. 50 But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”
John 6:47-51

You have to remind yourself again and again and again (and again) that Jesus Christ is Lord and our everlasting life is made possible because of His life, death, and resurrection. Our sins are wiped clean by the living bread who was broken for many.
We have to fight for this in our hearts when the day-to-day struggles and battles of life wage against our soul and heart. We have to remind ourselves of this great overarching truth that shines through the deepest cracks of our spirit.
He is the bread of life, unlike any other nourishment found in this world. He is the bread that came down from heaven unto us, and whoever eats of it will live forever! Even death has been conquered and we are promised the inheritance of an eternal joy with Jesus for all eternity, to the greatest glory of His name and for our greatest joy being lived out for the ages.
Remind yourself of this truth, believer. Jesus Christ has been given to you so that by you experiencing the greatest joy in Christ, He is receiving the greatest glory.
