sokin's devotional 94 - righteous will live by faith

For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered forever. He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord. His heart is steady; he will not be afraid, until he looks in triumph on his adversaries.
Psalm 112:6-8

Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for "The righteous shall live by faith."
Galatians 3:11

Our righteousness comes not by the law, nor by our works but by one means - faith.

This faith is not in ourselves, it is produced in a glad submission to Jesus Christ - the only one who could walk the life we couldn't live, and died the death we deserved. So that by His death, we were given new life.

Therefore, one who is able to live and walk by faith in Christ, is one that will never be moved. The righteous (who lives by faith in Christ) will not be afraid of bad news. His heart is firm. He will trust in the Lord.

He will be steady when bad news comes in. His heart will remain glad in Christ when he loses his job. He will not be afraid when a bad diagnosis comes. He will trust in the Lord even when circumstances look grim.

The righteous shall live by faith.
