"I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so taht when it is gone, you will be welcomes into eternal dwellings."
Luke 16:9

"But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that lunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs."
2 Timothy 6:6-10

We must seek to redeem our wealth, not strive for more just for the sake of. Justifying our quest for money by our faith can be unbiblical. It can lead us into ruin and destruction (v.9). Godliness is not a means to financial gains. (2 timothy 6:5)

God may grant favor in finances, yes...but the heart of that and the effects of prosperity must be for the sake of glorifying God with it.

Just like in Luke 16, we must utilize our wealth for eternal purposes..not for selfish gain. Doing so for selfish gain (or saying/thinking you are doing it for eternal things but having ulterior motives in your heart), will lead you down a path of sin, destruction, and potentially wandering from the faith.

Be careful of money and wealth! Sometimes, it is a tough calling/blessing to receive.

It takes godliness and complete submission to the Lord in order to not fall into sin with it.

It might even be a better/easier calling to be content with a few rather than be given the calling to have a lot.
