thanks, God

today i...

- was encouraged by 2 of my sw's. both sent a very loving/thoughtful message that was quite unexpected.

- heard from a student i met in thailand about how she is growing in the Lord and getting excited for this year's Christmas because it's so much more significant for her in light of her knowledge of Jesus.

- emailed with a brother in Christ i met in nepal, back in 2005. we still keep in touch to this day.

- realized how thankful i was while driving to and from our annual family thanksgiving dinner. the car was full of all 5 of us (sisters, mom and dad, and moi). we dont get to do that often but it took on a more special meaning for me this time around.

1 thessalonians 5:16-18 pops up again in my life.

rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

it was a good thanksgiving.
